Rocketry at Elmerton Field

Rocketry

There has been interest expressed by club members regarding model rocketry activities.  We are pleased to announce that rocketry is now available at the club subject to these limitations:

1. There must be a HAFS member present for all rocketry activities
2. Any guest launching with a HAFS member must be an AMA member and have their card available for review.
3. All activities must adhere to the Model Rocket Safety Code of the National Association of Rocketry and all AMA rules regarding rockets.  Please see the Safety Code in the Club Documents..
4. All rocketry activities are secondary to the primary mission of HAFS, the flying of radio controlled aircraft.  No rocket launches during RC flying.
5. Due to the size of the field, maximum engine size is G.  No flying above G power..
6. No flying while the Elmerton Avenue parking lot or SCCA area is in use.
